Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pelle Mutanaama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kalema Kirunda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kirunda is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The Hellacopters - In The Sign of Octopus. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kirunda can do anything to dispel that myth.

Mutanaama tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mutanaama has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Mutanaama swings around for an armbar but Kirunda sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Mutanaama's guard.

Mutanaama is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Kirunda is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Mutanaama manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Kirunda really wants to buck Mutanaama off and get back to his feet.

Kirunda is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Mutanaama is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Mutanaama!
