PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Soldier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Terry Uzi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Uzi is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: How to: Open Cans . Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mike Soldier!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Terry Uzi!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Anni Minnemäki and Marco Blurström.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Soldier tries to clinch

and Uzi decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Soldier's guard.
Soldier wants to stand and escape but Uzi is having none of it.

Uzi gets to his feet - Soldier follows without any prompting.
Soldier throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

and Uzi counters with a nice double leg into side control. Soldier won't be happy with that.
Soldier is not content to let Uzi control the position.
Soldier is pushing Uzi's head away, looking to escape. Uzi manages to hold on to the position though.
Uzi wants to lay and pray for a moment but Soldier keeps working.

Uzi working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Uzi tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Uzi has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Uzi is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Soldier knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Soldier is trying to get back to his feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Uzi is working to tighten is grip on Soldier's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Soldier has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Uzi is really squeezing tight and eventually Soldier passes out! Uzi breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
