The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blake fails with an attempt to clinch.

Olivarez parries the strikes from Blake easily there. Blake is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Olivarez to escape.

Blake is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Olivarez is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Blake scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Olivarez to see if he's OK.

Olivarez shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Blake defends it nicely.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Blake throws a strike but Olivarez rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Blake drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Olivarez dives on top into guard.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Olivarez in particular looking to stall.
Blake is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Olivarez's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Olivarez's back!
A lull in the action here.
Olivarez tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Olivarez sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Olivarez is looking to control Blake's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Olivarez avoid being mounted?

Blake drops back, looking for a kneebar! Olivarez looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Olivarez looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Olivarez!

Olivarez bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
