Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tony Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nuno Guerreiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Tony Steel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Nuno Guerreiro!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, William Gold and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guerreiro looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Guerreiro shoots in looking for a takedown. Steel tries to sprawl out of it but Guerreiro keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Steel manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Steel shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Steel pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Guerreiro is keeping the position for now.
Steel trying to control the position from guard on top but Guerreiro is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Guerreiro is working an open guard so Steel takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Steel uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Guerreiro.

Steel wants to pass the guard but Guerreiro is keeping the position.

Steel shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Steel closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Guerreiro did well to prevent Steel getting side control.

Guerreiro gets back to full guard.
Steel stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Guerreiro swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Guerreiro throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Steel escapes and throws Guerreiro's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Guerreiro gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Guerreiro wants to control but Steel is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Steel throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Guerreiro gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Steel to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Guerreiro throws a low kick but Steel avoids it.

Steel misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Tony Steel overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Guerreiro bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Steel's guard.

Guerreiro is pushing down on Steel's leg trying to pass to half guard. Steel is fighting to maintain full guard but Guerreiro has managed to sneak the leg through.
Guerreiro looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Guerreiro stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

and Steel moves into the clinch.

Steel jumps guard and drags Guerreiro to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Guerreiro gets to his feet - Steel follows without any prompting.
Guerreiro shoots in looking for a takedown but Steel manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Guerreiro's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Steel tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Guerreiro was well out of range. Poor timing from Steel.
Guerreiro dives in and grabs Steel's left leg, looking for a takedown. Steel pushes down on Guerreiro's head and hops out.

Guerreiro tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Steel paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Guerreiro bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Steel tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Guerreiro defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Steel.
Steel can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Guerreiro is looking to escape.
Guerreiro tries to buck Steel off but he can't manage it.

Guerreiro tries to lock up and control but Steel gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Steel sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

Steel thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Guerreiro avoids a series of strikes thrown by Steel.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Guerreiro is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.

Steel unloads with some shots from mount but Guerreiro bucks and avoids them well.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Steel is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Guerreiro to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Guerreiro shrugs it off.
Guerreiro can't escape the position.
