Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mighty Mike!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Reggie Cardinal!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Franklyn Lucas and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cardinal tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mike swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Mike keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Cardinal.
Cardinal tries to bum rush Mike with a series of wild strikes but Mike uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Mike is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Cardinal's half guard.

Cardinal is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Mike pulls his head out easily.

Mike is looking for a kimura but Cardinal is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Mike to get the leverage.

Mike wants to work for an arm triangle but Cardinal is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Mike is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Cardinal is looking to control Mike's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Cardinal avoid being mounted?
Mike controlling the pace.

Mike is looking for a kimura but Cardinal is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Mike to get the leverage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mike uses his free foot to push down on Cardinal's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Cardinal.

Mike has control of Cardinal's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Cardinal regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Cardinal really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mike. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Mike controlling the pace for now.

Mike has hold of Cardinal's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Cardinal manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Mike quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Mike but it's paid off an Cardinal is forced to tap! Nice work by Mike.
