The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hanton throws an overhand right that lands on Marcello's shoulder, as Marcello tries to avoid the shot.

Marcello shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hanton's guard.
Marcello forces his way into half guard.
Marcello content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Marcello trying to control the action but Hanton is working from the bottom.
Hanton wants to get back to his feet.
Marcello thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Hanton's head.
Hanton is looking to escape.
Hanton trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Marcello has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Ze Marcello hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Marcello avoids a punch combination nicely.
Hanton throws a big shot that misses.
Marcello tries to clinch up.

Marcello drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Marcello content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Marcello tries to score with some ground and pound. Hanton controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Hanton is trying to get back to his feet.
Hanton is breathing heavily.
The strikes coming from Marcello are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Marcello is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Hanton will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Marcello has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Hanton is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Marcello yanks on the arm and Hanton is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Marcello.
