Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Desmond Hume (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vitor Belfort (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Desmond Hume has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Desmond Hume!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Vitor Belfort!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Seu Braga and Paulo Santos.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belfort shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Hume counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Belfort moves in looking to clinch but Hume pushes him off.
Belfort has his takedown stuffed
and Hume counters with a stiff right hand.
Hume throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Hume takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Belfort walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Hume checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Hume feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Hume content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Hume chips away with some ground and pound.
Belfort really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hume. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Belfort utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Hume throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Hume postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Hume works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Hume tries to pass to full mount but Belfort defends it.

Hume is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hume looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Hume is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Belfort is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
