Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Johan Granit!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Aafke Stam and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Granit scores with a kick to the body.

Granit is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Christ creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Christ lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Granit circles away quickly and effectively.
Granit wants to clinch but Christ slips to the side
and Christ counters with an outside leg kick.
Granit tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Christ swivels and escapes.

Christ lands with a nice body punch.

Granit looks for a takedown but Christ sprawls well.
Jezus Christ has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johan Granit.
Christ throws a big shot that misses.

and Granit counters with a left and a right that stings Christ.
Granit doesn't manage to clinch there - Christ circles away.
Christ swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Christ comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Christ on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Christ works on Granit's body with a couple of short punches.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Christ.
Christ softening up his opponent with strikes, against the ropes.
Granit is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Christ pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Christ has Granit pushed against the ropes.
A body shot lands from Christ.
Granit goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Christ lands a right hand that snaps the head of Granit backwards.
Nice body punch from Christ.
Christ makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Christ gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Granit.
Christ stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Granit wants to break the clinch but can't.
Christ lands with a left to the head.

Christ turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Christ manages to end up in side control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Christ thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Christ advances to full mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jezus Christ dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Johan Granit's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Christ dips to his left and cracks Granit with an uppercut!
Christ throws a nice looking combination but Granit bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Christ changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Granit looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Christ is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Granit has escaped the position, nice work there.
Granit is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Christ advances to full mount.

Christ is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Granit can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Christ is working for a guillotine from mount but Granit frees his head quite easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Christ wants to control the pace but Granit is squirming around nicely.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Christ is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Granit is trying to get to the ropes to help him get back to his feet.
BOOM! Christ connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Christ has isolated one of Granit's arms. Granit looking to fight him off but Christ twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
