Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nunni Petersen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Francis Commando (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nunni Petersen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Francis Commando! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Some wild striking there from Petersen.
Petersen avoids a kick to the body.
Petersen shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Petersen throws a right hand that Commando ducks under and follows up with a left that Commando also avoids with ease. Commando stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Petersen. Petersen shoots for a double leg takedown but Commando sprawls well. He's pushed Petersen's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Commando closes this distance looking for a takedown but Petersen circles away. Petersen throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Commando avoids the head kick by Petersen.
Petersen gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Commando counters with a takedown into side control. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nunni Petersen. That's going to take a lot out of him. Petersen is trying to strike from the bottom but Commando has passed into full mount. Commando looking to control and managing it successfully. Commando can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Petersen is looking to escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Commando is in the full mount, landing strikes. Petersen keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Petersen is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Petersen tries to get back to half guard but can't. Petersen tries to hold on but Commando postures up. Commando wants to control the pace but Petersen is squirming around nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Petersen wants to hold on but Commando pushes him away. Commando controlling from the full mount. Petersen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Commando on the ground. Petersen wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Commando struggling to land strikes to the head as Petersen covers up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Commando controlling from the back. Petersen just trying to survive but Commando is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Commando is riding his opponent, not letting Petersen buck him off.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Petersen trying to control but not successfully. Petersen is keeping busy.
Commando has the hooks in. Petersen is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Commando really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Petersen.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Petersen tries to roll but Commando sticks to his back.
Commando looking for the choke from the back. Commando trying to control. Petersen wants to get back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Petersen is breathing heavily. Commando scores with punches to the body. Commando patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Francis Commando dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Commando gets in close and instigates a clinch. Commando has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Petersen uses from the top position. Petersen trying to control the position from guard on top but Commando is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Petersen avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Petersen postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Commando looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Petersen pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Commando is keeping the position for now. Commando is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Commando is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Commando's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Petersen wants to control from the top but Commando keeps moving. Petersen has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Nunni Petersen just wasn't active enough. Petersen shoots in and gets a takedown into Commando's guard. Commando has a closed guard, preventing Petersen from standing up. Petersen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Commando swivels though and keeps the full guard. Commando wants to sweep here but Petersen controlling him for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Commando is trying to keep Petersen in close.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Petersen is looking to stand up but Commando won't let him. Petersen slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Commando seems a little lost for a moment, as Petersen dominates the positioning. Petersen wants to lay and pray for a moment but Commando keeps working. Petersen decides to take the fight back to the feet. Petersen gets a clinch. Commando tries for a takedown. No joy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Petersen misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Commando.

Petersen presses Commando against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Petersen trying to control the position but instead, Commando has worked for underhooks and has pushed Petersen into the cage. Commando fails to pull guard.
Commando goes for a takedown in the clinch but Petersen prevents it.
Nunni Petersen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Francis Commando. Petersen tries to pull guard but Commando won't allow it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Petersen is trying to break free. Petersen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Commando tries to sprawl but Petersen drives through with a takedown into half guard. Petersen postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Commando to stand up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nunni Petersen dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Petersen tries for a takedown but Commando circles away easily and Commando counters with a single leg into guard. Petersen didn't expect that. Commando stands up and waves to Petersen to follow him. Petersen shoots in for a takedown but Commando shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Petersen fails to land the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nunni Petersen. That's going to take a lot out of him. Commando shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Petersen napping and manages to drive through into side control! Commando controlling the position. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Commando tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Petersen manages to work his way to half guard, despite Commando's best efforts.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Petersen actively working from the bottom here. Commando wants to pass the guard but Petersen is defending well. Petersen wants to get back to his feet. Petersen is trying to get back to full guard. Commando passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Petersen! Commando unloading with bombs!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Commando avoiding Petersen 's attempts to control his hands. Commando controlling well, preventing Petersen from escaping the position.
Commando gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes. Commando is hanging on to Petersen's back as he tries to escape.
Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Commando.
Petersen is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Commando.

And that's the end of the fight! Francis Commando comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Commando has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
