The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Johanna Lukiainen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karate throws a series of punches but Santos moves out of range.
Santos drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Karate working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Santos.
Santos wants to control from the top but Karate keeps moving.
Santos loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Karate wants to stand but Santos is controlling the position.
Karate working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Santos doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Karate is tightening it up a little... Santos has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Santos reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Santos taps out! nice BJJ there by Karate!
