Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Calvin Baxter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marcus Santos!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, John Roberts and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Baxter or perhaps it was just good defense by Santos which made him look bad.
Baxter throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Santos's waist but Santos gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Baxter off to one side.
Baxter throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Santos leaves Baxter with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Calvin Baxter. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Baxter clinches.
Santos breaks the clinch.
Santos is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Baxter clinches but Santos breaks the clinch
and Santos comes in over the top with a devastating right hand! Baxter stumbles back against the cage, looking to regain his senses but Santos is on him like rabid pit bull! Baxter slumps to the ground under a storm of punches and this fight is over!
