Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Paul Martin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuoki Akamara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Akamara has chosen Illuminati as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akamara shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Martin as he jumps to the side.

Akamara takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Martin throws a low kick but it's checked well by Akamara.

Martin gets caught flat footed, as Akamara shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Martin controls Akamara momentarily but Akamara frees himself.
Akamara seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Akamara is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Martin rather than just go for the knockout.

That was a close round but I would say that Paul Martin will probably get the nod.

Akamara shoots in looking for a takedown but Martin manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Akamara's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Akamara has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Martin finds it's way round the side to connect with Akamara's head.

Akamara shoots in looking for a takedown. Martin tries to sprawl out of it but Akamara keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Martin manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Akamara wants to lay and pray for a moment but Martin keeps working.

Oh but Akamara is tightening it up a little... Martin has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Martin reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Martin taps out! nice BJJ there by Akamara!
