Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Spencer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James Miller is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Michael Spencer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 20 - 0, fighting out of London, James Miller!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Andrew Berry and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spencer scores with a leg kick.
Spencer tries to clinch up.
Spencer connects with a body shot.
Spencer does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Spencer shoots in but no luck this time.
Spencer feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Miller's calf.

Spencer clinches.
Miller has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Spencer is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
The referee is keeping an eye on Spencer - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Spencer has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Miller regains guard immediately.

Miller has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Spencer can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Spencer passes Miller's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Spencer stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Miller to get to his feet.

Spencer lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Spencer lands with a nice body kick.
Spencer throws a leg kick which misses Miller's front leg but catches the back leg as Miller tries to avoid it.
Spencer swings for the body but Miller moves out of range.

Spencer throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Miller was covering up waiting for the punch and Spencer finishes the takedown easily into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Spencer decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Miller chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Spencer can pounce on him.
Miller circles away from the clinch attempt.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Spencer misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Spencer wants to clinch.
Spencer tries a head kick but it misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Miller dodges the punch combination from Spencer.
The fight stays on the outside here - Spencer looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Miller gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Spencer counters with a one-two to the body.
Spencer turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Spencer bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Michael Spencer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Spencer darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Miller is looking to escape.
Miller is breathing heavily.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Spencer in particular looking to stall.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Spencer's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

We're going to have a standup here because Michael Spencer wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Spencer jumps into guard, dragging Miller to the mat.

Spencer manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Spencer. Miller shrugs it off though.

Spencer will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Spencer tries to close the distance and clinch but Miller swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Spencer shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Spencer prevents Miller from improving his position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Spencer decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Miller slips a jab and a cross from Spencer.

Michael Spencer is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Spencer wants to clinch up but Miller keeps it at a distance.

Spencer bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Spencer remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Miller tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

Spencer seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Miller for as long as he can get away with.

James Miller has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Well Spencer has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
