The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Balls shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Johnson eats them both and turns towards Balls to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Balls moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Balls jabs Johnson right on the nose. Johnson blinks but takes it well.
Johnson walks into a left hand.

enabling Balls to counter with a crisp jab.
Balls scores with a crisp jab that stopped Johnson in his tracks.

Johnson has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
Balls scores with the left hand. Johnson knows he should have avoided that one.

and Balls counters with a nice uppercut.
Johnson gets caught flat footed, as Balls shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Balls wants to control from the top but Johnson keeps moving.
Johnson can't keep his opponent in guard - Balls advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Balls connects with a nice short shot to Johnson's temple.
Balls is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Johnson can do to turn this around?
Johnson is breathing heavily.

Balls sitting and controlling from the half guard.
Johnson is looking to get back to is feet but Balls passes into side control.
Balls cracks Johnson with a big right hand but Johnson just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Balls is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Huge Balls overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Balls takes a little break here. Johnson wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Balls decides to stand back up.
Balls shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Johnson napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Johnson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Balls. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Balls remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Balls postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Johnson in real trouble here! The ref calls for Johnson to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
