Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Eduardo Escobedo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kullervo Haikas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kullervo Haikas will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Escobedo uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Haikas.

Escobedo closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Haikas quickly recovers to half guard.

Haikas throws a nice looking combination but Escobedo bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Kullervo Haikas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Escobedo throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Haikas tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Escobedo is in Haikas's guard.

Escobedo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Escobedo moves out of range of the strikes.
Haikas lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
