Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Arthur Est!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jose Alejandro!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, John Mangel and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alejandro blocks a head kick by Est.
Alejandro bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Est's head backwards.

Est takes the fight into the clinch.
Est lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Alejandro taking a breather.
Est pushes off an throws an elbow but Alejandro leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Est comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Est throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Est lands a nice elbow.
Alejandro wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Est has him pressed against the cage.
Est pushes off an throws an elbow but Alejandro leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Est misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Alejandro.
Alejandro throws a head punch that misses.
Est tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Alejandro avoids it.
Est lands a nice elbow.
Est misses with an elbow over the top.
Alejandro lands an uppercut.
Est pushes off an throws an elbow but Alejandro leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Alejandro avoids a wild elbow strike from Est.
Est lands an uppercut.
Est crunches a lovely knee into Alejandro's ribcage.
Est lands an elbow that stopped Alejandro in his tracks for a moment.
Alejandro is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Est breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Est tries to clinch up.
Alejandro jabs Est to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Alejandro throws a right hand that Est ducks under and follows up with a left that Est also avoids with ease.
Est pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Alejandro closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Alejandro tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

Alejandro is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Est has escaped the position, nice work there.

Est knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Alejandro on the ground.
Check out the look on Alejandro's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Alejandro postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Alejandro stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Est lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Est tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Alejandro paws at him with a jab and circles away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Est looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Est fails with an attempt to clinch.
Est shoots and misses
and Alejandro connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Est is breathing heavily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Est doesn't manage to clinch there - Alejandro circles away.
Est throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Alejandro's waist but Alejandro gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Est off to one side.

and Alejandro counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Alejandro.


Est is rocked!
Est on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Est tries to get out of the position.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Alejandro's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Oh Est is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Alejandro lands a couple of elbows.

Alejandro drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Alejandro jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Alejandro is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Alejandro stands up over Est, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Alejandro thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Alejandro has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Alejandro gets to his feet and stands over Est, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Est felt that one! Alejandro unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Est from any more punishment!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jose Alejandro!
