Richards's entrance music is Rolling Stones - Paint It Black. A fine choice. Lipponen is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Rainbow - Man on the Silver Mountain. Pekka Lipponen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A lazy body kick from Lipponen
and Richards counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Richards swings widly with a right hand
and Lipponen counters with an outside leg kick.
Richards throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Lipponen counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Richards misses with a leg kick
and Lipponen counters with a low kick, right behind Richards 's knee.
Lipponen blocks a head kick by Richards.

Lipponen drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Lipponen is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Richards is trying to get back to half guard.

Lipponen advances to mount.
Richards is desperately trying to improve his position but Lipponen has a good base and remains in mount.
Richards wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Lipponen.
Lipponen tries to control but Richards wriggling away.
Richards keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Richards is working hard here to advance position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Lipponen tries to control but Richards wriggling away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lipponen landing strikes from the mount.
Lipponen controlling the pace for now.
Richards is looking to improve his position but Lipponen isn't that keen on the idea.

Lipponen punching from mount but Richards doing a good job of avoiding damage.
Lipponen looking to ground and pound but Richards is blocking nicely.
Lipponen is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Lipponen looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Richards covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
