Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Reed Andrews and Jonathan Paton.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Okinawa changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jeans looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Okinawa is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Jeans has escaped the position, nice work there.

Okinawa is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Jeans knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Okinawa postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Okinawa working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Okinawa wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jeans keeps working.

Okinawa is trying to ground and pound but Jeans uses the momentary lack of control by Okinawa to regain half guard.

Okinawa controlling the position well here. Jeans rolled but Okinawa kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Jeans is looking to stand back up. He's having to work hard to escape but eventually he manages it.

Okinawa closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Jeans to the mat! Jeans manages to get full guard.

Okinawa drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Okinawa jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Jeans will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Okinawa wants to pass the guard but Jeans is keeping the position.

Jeans is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Okinawa defends well.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Okinawa accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jeans controls Okinawa momentarily but Okinawa frees himself.

Okinawa drops back looking for a leg! Jeans is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jeans manages to kick Okinawa off! Okinawa jumps back into Jeans's guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Okinawa postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Jeans is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Okinawa, into his guard.

Okinawa isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Jeans stacks Okinawa on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Jeans!

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Okinawa will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Jeans shoots and misses

and Okinawa counters with a shoot takedown. Jeans fights it but they end up in guard.

Jeans escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Okinawa gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Okinawa passes Jeans's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Okinawa is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Okinawa slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Jeans is looking to work some ground and pound but Okinawa has wrist control.

Fujitsu Okinawa showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Okinawa looks to land a combination but Jeans avoids it well.

Okinawa is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Jeans knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Jeans for a finish.

Okinawa has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Jeans has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
