Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marvin Welch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Nash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Welch scores with a nice head shot.
Nash misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Nash fails with a takedown attempt.
Nash closes this distance looking for a takedown but Welch circles away.

Welch misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Nash.

Nash changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Welch tries to avoid it but Nash manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Welch to the ground. Welch escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Nash shoots in looking for a takedown. Welch tries to sprawl out of it but Nash keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Welch manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Welch connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Welch looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Welch throws a series of strikes that have Nash backpedaling.
Welch lands with a right that hurts Nash. Nash looks to clinch but Welch throws a short knee that drops Nash. This one is all over!
