The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pires throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Wilson moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Wilson connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Pires's hands.
Sloppy strikes from Pires. Those never looked like landing.
No joy there for Pires, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Nice defenses there by Pires.
Pires misses with a few strikes there.
Wilson uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Wilson bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Pires swats away the attempt to clinch by Wilson.
Nice uppercut there from Wilson.
Pires stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Wilson.
Wilson thuds his shin into the meat of Pires's side.
Augusto Pires seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Wilson lands a big head kick that sends Pires tumbling to the mat! Wilson takes a step backwards and waves Pires back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Augusto Pires has been cut.
Wilson drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Pires right on the button. Pires goes down! Wilson follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Wilson gets the win via TKO!
