Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Gordon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benjo Paras (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Benjo Paras will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Joe Gordon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Benjo Paras!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Ren Mimura and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gordon throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Paras tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Gordon is in Paras's guard.

Gordon is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Gordon drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gordon jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Paras is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Gordon is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Gordon is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Paras can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Gordon with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Gordon jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Paras is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Paras and Gordon has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Paras tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Gordon wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
