The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

James rushes Garrido and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Garrido tries to pull guard but James holds him up against the cage and eventually Garrido drops back down to his feet.

Garrido jumps guard and drags James to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
James has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Garrido is proving hard to escape from.
Garrido looking to hit a scissor sweep but James is one step ahead there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Garrido is looking to sinch up a triangle. James throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Garrido's body to avoid the submission. Garrido has instead reached around James's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Garrido arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
