The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velasqez waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Baduk.
Velasqez ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Baduk moves away.

Baduk drops Velasqez with a beautiful combination! Velasqez stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Baduk is looking for the KO!

It looks like Cain Velasqez has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Velasqez takes a swing at Baduk's ribcage but misses.
Sergei Baduk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Baduk misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Baduk lands a big head kick that sends Velasqez tumbling to the mat! Baduk takes a step backwards and waves Velasqez back to his feet - he wants the finish!

That has opened up Cain Velasqez's cut even more.
Baduk throws a right hand that Velasqez ducks under and follows up with a left that Velasqez also avoids with ease.

Velasqez looks gassed!
Velasqez takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Baduk batters Velasqez with a massive right followed by a huge left! Velasqez is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Baduk lands a final crushing right hand to drop Velasqez to the mat with a gruesome thud! Baduk is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!
