Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sebastien Chevalier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samoa Rome (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chevalier comes to the cage accompanied by The Final Countdown. Rome has chosen Samoan Death as his entrance music. Samoa Rome has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Sebastien Chevalier's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Samoa Rome!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chevalier looks to score with a jab to the body but Rome is just out of range.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Chevalier enables Rome to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Chevalier manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Rome is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Chevalier has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rome can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Chevalier wants to control but Rome is keeping busy.

Rome goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Chevalier is on top in guard.

Rome looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Chevalier has picked Rome up and slammed him! Rome can't keep hold of the triangle and Chevalier manages to pass to side control!

Chevalier decides to stand back up. Chevalier steps back and let's Rome get back to his feet.

Chevalier throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Rome stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Chevalier is looking to wear down Rome with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Rome drops back, looking for a kneebar! Chevalier looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Chevalier looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Chevalier!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Rome prevents Chevalier from moving into mount.
Chevalier takes a little break here. Rome wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Rome prevents Chevalier from improving position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Sebastien Chevalier.
Chevalier looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Rome looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Rome gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Rome closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Chevalier to the mat! Chevalier manages to get full guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Chevalier tries to lock up and control but Rome gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Rome wants to take his opponent's back but Chevalier doesn't allow it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Chevalier sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Rome is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Chevalier has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Rome is looking to defend but Chevalier has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Rome! Chevalier pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Rome taps out and this one is all over!
