The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Babu looks to land a right hand but Mayfield moved out of range.
Babu walks into a straight right hand from Mayfield.
Mayfield stuffs the takedown.

Mayfield rushes Babu and presses him up against the cage.

Mayfield escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Babu closes the distance and clinches up with Mayfield, looking for a takedown. Babu pushes Mayfield against the cage but Mayfield circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

A slapping body kick lands there for Mayfield.
Babu looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Mayfield sizes up Babu with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Abu Babu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Babu fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mayfield, pushing him back against the cage.

Babu is trying to maintain a safe position but Mayfield gets an underhook and turns Babu into the cage.
Babu wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Mayfield has him pressed against the cage.
