Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fedor Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alistair De Jong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Fedor Emelianenko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alistair De Jong! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Sergei Dronov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick by De Jong misses so Emelianenko counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. De Jong wants to stand and escape but Emelianenko is having none of it. Emelianenko throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. De Jong tries to land a sweep but no joy. Emelianenko has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Emelianenko sitting in guard, not really doing much. De Jong working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Emelianenko doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Emelianenko manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. De Jong throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's one minute gone in the round. Emelianenko postures up in De Jong's guard and throws a big left but De Jong blocks it. De Jong preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Emelianenko lands a couple of decent looking shots. Emelianenko content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Emelianenko is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. De Jong wriggles free and stands up. Emelianenko scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Emelianenko takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. De Jong is looking to escape. Emelianenko is looking to take a break and control but De Jong is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Emelianenko seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Emelianenko winds up and cracks De Jong with a swinging punch to the side of the head. De Jong is trying to stand.
Emelianenko wants to work for an arm triangle but De Jong is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Emelianenko stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
That's three minutes gone in the round. De Jong with a poor takedown and Emelianenko decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in De Jong's guard. De Jong looks gassed! Emelianenko sitting in guard, not really doing much. Emelianenko seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down De Jong for as long as he can get away with. Emelianenko might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Emelianenko wants to stand but De Jong has a closed guard, so he can't escape. De Jong is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Emelianenko accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. De Jong is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Emelianenko throws a big right hand that misses. De Jong avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Emelianenko trying to control but De Jong is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

De Jong shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Emelianenko decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in De Jong's guard. De Jong looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
De Jong is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Emelianenko is controlling him. Emelianenko lands a couple of elbows. Emelianenko works over De Jong with some ground and pound from guard. De Jong is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Emelianenko wanted to stand there but De Jong had control of the position. Emelianenko knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for De Jong on the ground. De Jong is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Emelianenko is controlling him. Emelianenko trying to control the position from guard on top but De Jong is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Emelianenko lands a couple of elbows. Emelianenko prevents De Jong from getting back to his feet. De Jong has momentary wrist control but Emelianenko slips an elbow through the middle. Fedor Emelianenko overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Emelianenko is looking to stand up but De Jong won't let him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Emelianenko stops De Jong from standing up. De Jong looking to control.

Emelianenko trying to control but De Jong is working from the bottom. De Jong is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Emelianenko slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Emelianenko landing some decent shots from guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. De Jong preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Emelianenko prevents De Jong from getting back to his feet. Emelianenko is taking a break and basically stalling. That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Emelianenko thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Emelianenko sitting in guard here, content to control. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Emelianenko content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Emelianenko throwing strikes from guard but De Jong blocks nicely. Emelianenko missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fedor Emelianenko dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

De Jong darts in trying to clinch and Emelianenko counters with a series of strikes. De Jong will be more careful next time no doubt. Emelianenko moves in looking to clinch but De Jong pushes him off. De Jong looks to clinch and Emelianenko counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps De Jong thinking. Emelianenko fails to land with a series of punches.
Emelianenko closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. De Jong quickly recovers to half guard. De Jong wants to get back to his feet.
Emelianenko is nestled in close to De Jong, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. De Jong takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Emelianenko works his foot free and advances to mount. Emelianenko with good strikes from the mount here! Emelianenko takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Emelianenko landing shots from mount. De Jong takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Emelianenko working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Emelianenko cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Fedor Emelianenko is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Emelianenko landing strikes, looking to finish! De Jong is trying to stand up. Emelianenko looking to control and managing it successfully. Emelianenko with the ground and pound from mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Emelianenko prevents De Jong from getting the reversal. De Jong wants to control but Emelianenko is having none of it. Emelianenko content just to control the position here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. De Jong working to try and regain half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Fedor Emelianenko showed his dominance in that final round. Well Emelianenko has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
