The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ping tries to bum rush Klice with a series of wild strikes but Klice uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Poppa Ping seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ping tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Klice paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Ping takes a swing at Klice's ribcage but misses.
Ping throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
The fighters circle momentarily. Klice darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Klice ducks right into an uppercut from Ping.

It looks like Simbo Klice has been cut.

Klice thuds his right hand into Ping's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Klice connects with a good right hand that stumbles Ping. Ping circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Klice has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Klice bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Ping's head.
Oh Ping is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Klice feints and then cracks Ping's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Ping down.
Klice keeps Ping at a distance using the push kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Oooooh!!! Klice has knocked Ping down with a huge combo! Klice steps away and waves a wobbly Ping back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Klice throws a leg kick which misses Ping's front leg but catches the back leg as Ping tries to avoid it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Klice walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Ping drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Klice swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Ping's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
