Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Milton Holmes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ace Surprise (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Surprise has chosen New york as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Surprise finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Surprise scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Surprise decides to stand up, so the ref orders Holmes to his feet.
Surprise fails to land with a series of punches.
Surprise shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Holmes defends it nicely.

Holmes drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Surprise is trying to keep Holmes in close.
Surprise wants to sweep here but Holmes controlling him for the moment.
Surprise is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Surprise utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Surprise manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Holmes wants to control but Surprise is having none of it.

Surprise takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Surprise lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Holmes hang on?
Holmes might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Holmes gets back to half guard.
Holmes has hold of Surprise's hands but Surprise slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Surprise is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Holmes is refusing to be controlled, as Surprise sits in half guard.

Surprise stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Holmes to get to his feet.
Holmes tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Holmes will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Holmes could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Surprise dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Holmes is breathing heavily.

Surprise lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Holmes sprawling to the canvas. Surprise follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Holmes hang on?

It looks like Milton Holmes has been cut.

Holmes on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Oh Holmes is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Surprise lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Holmes quite badly. Holmes pulls Surprise in close trying to recover. Surprise postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Holmes on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Holmes doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
