Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tyler Fun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oscar Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tyler Fun!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Oscar Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Donatello Bradman and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fun defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Sanchez.
Fun stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Fun goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Fun scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Fun misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Fun misses with a leg kick.
Fun throws a chopping leg kick but Sanchez manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Fun looks to land a combination but Sanchez avoids it well.
Sanchez misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Fun.

Sanchez jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Fun walks away with a smile on his face. Sanchez gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Fun fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sanchez manages to avoid it.

Sanchez shoots in and gets a takedown into Fun's guard.

Fun is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Sanchez is controlling him.
Fun is looking to stand back up but Sanchez counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Fun.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and Fun counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Sanchez thinking.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Fun throws an overhand right that lands on Sanchez's shoulder, as Sanchez tries to avoid the shot.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Fun looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Sanchez has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Fun is pushing down on Sanchez's leg trying to pass to half guard. Sanchez is fighting to maintain full guard but Fun has managed to sneak the leg through.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Fun seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
