The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Benn thows a body shot but no joy.
Kurosawa shoots for a double leg takedown but Benn sprawls well. He's pushed Kurosawa's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Nice takedown defense from Benn. No joy for Kurosawa on that attempt.
Benn misses with a wild body shot.

Benn shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kurosawa keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Benn mounts Kurosawa! Really nice guard pass there!

Benn is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Kurosawa is surviving well by controlling Benn's body position as best he can.

Benn is working to isolate an arm here. It's a choreographed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Benn extends the arm and Kurosawa is forced to tap!
