Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Johny Bravo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonny Chapman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Johny Bravo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jonny Chapman!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Paulsen Ambrosius and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bravo throws a nice looking combination but Chapman bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Chapman fails in his attempt to clinch.
Chapman takes a swing at Bravo's ribcage but misses.
Chapman smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Chapman misses with a few strikes there.
Chapman lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bravo circles away quickly and effectively.
Chapman falls off balance throwing a combination
and Bravo counters with a head kick. That will keep Chapman thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Chapman swats away the attempt to clinch by Bravo.

Bravo moves into range and clinches up with Chapman.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Chapman fails to pull guard.
Bravo tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Bravo creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Chapman's defenses.
Bravo drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Bravo tries for a takedown. No joy.
Chapman is trying to push Bravo away but Bravo has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Bravo makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Bravo gets underhooks to prevent Chapman's takedown attempt.
Johny Bravo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jonny Chapman.
Bravo lands a nice elbow.
Bravo drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Chapman gets the underhooks and prevents it.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Bravo just misses with a elbow thrown towards Chapman's brow.

Chapman seems to be looking for submissions.

Chapman is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Bravo sees it coming and defends easily.

Bravo moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Bravo has his hands on Chapman's head, controlling the position.
Chapman wants to stand and escape but instead Bravo has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Bravo really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Chapman has his foot on Bravo's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bravo works his way back into a safe position though.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Bravo's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Bravo tries to clinch but Chapman is having none of it.

Bravo has Chapman up against the cage in a clinch.
Bravo lands a left hand that snaps the head of Chapman backwards.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Bravo has Chapman pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Chapman manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Bravo prevents a takedown attempt there.
Bravo changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Chapman fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Chapman looks to clinch
and Bravo counters with an inside leg kick.

Chapman closes the distance and pushes Bravo back into the cage.

Johny Bravo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jonny Chapman.
A short left from Bravo.
Chapman jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Bravo walks away with a smile on his face. Chapman gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Bravo moves into the clinch successfully.
Bravo wants a takedown.
Chapman prevents a takedown attempt there.
Bravo misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Chapman.
Chapman tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Bravo just stands there and leans against the cage.
Bravo crunches a lovely knee into Chapman's ribcage.
Bravo's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Chapman wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Chapman goes for a takedown attempt but Bravo pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Bravo avoids a punch combination nicely.
Chapman is breathing heavily.

and Bravo holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Chapman is trying to break free.
Chapman is pressed up against the cage. Bravo has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Chapman down to the mat. Chapman avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

and Bravo counters with a head kick. That will keep Chapman thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Crunch! Bravo slams his shin into Chapman's torso.

Bravo closes the distance and pushes Chapman back into the cage.

Bravo lands a takedown into guard.

Chapman is looking for a triangle here but Bravo uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Chapman is trying to get back to half guard.

Bravo is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Chapman will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chapman pushes Bravo away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Bravo gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Chapman regains half guard there - taking advantage of Bravo's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.

Bravo not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Bravo stands up and waves to Chapman to follow him.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Chapman misses with a combination

and Bravo counters by moving into the clinch.
Chapman is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Chapman drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Bravo gets the underhooks and prevents it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bravo is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Chapman pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Bravo seems a little flustered. He's come in with the intention of controlling the clinch but Chapman is preventing him from doing so, at least for the moment.

Chapman gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Bravo regains guard.
Bravo is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Chapman drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Bravo manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Chapman has Bravo in his guard.

Chapman is looking for a triangle but Bravo pushes his legs off easily.

Chapman working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Bravo.
Chapman looking for a sweep. Not yet Chapman, not yet.

Chapman escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bravo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Chapman isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Bravo stacks Chapman on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Bravo!

Bravo is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Chapman is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Bravo lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Bravo passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Chapman!
Bravo will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Chapman is working to get back to half guard.
Bravo unloads with some shots from mount but Chapman bucks and avoids them well.
Chapman is in all sorts of trouble here.
Bravo controlling from the full mount.
Chapman is desperately trying to improve his position but Bravo has a good base and remains in mount.
Jonny Chapman has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Johny Bravo is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Bravo blocks Chapman's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Jonny Chapman.
Well Bravo has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
