The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scaletta pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Silva steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Scaletta.

Scaletta sends Silva crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Scaletta is motioning to the referee to let Silva up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

No joy there for Silva, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Scaletta thuds his right hand into Silva's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Silva throws a right and a left that Scaletta avoids nicely.

Silva misses with an uppercut. Scaletta saw that one coming.
Silva throws a nice looking combination but Scaletta bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Silva does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Scaletta feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Silva sprawling to the canvas! Silva rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Scaletta finish him?!
Silva swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Scaletta throws a big shot that misses.
Silva scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Scaletta waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Silva.
Scaletta looks to land a combination but Silva avoids it well.
Silva throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Scaletta stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Silva moves forwards but Scaletta connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Mauricio Silva's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Mauricio Silva's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Vitto Scaletta!
