Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Excellent takedown into side control there by Piranov.
Piranov trying to control the action but Dong is working from the bottom.
Piranov is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Dong is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Dong manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Piranov wants to control but Dong is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Piranov is looking for a sweep. Dong is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Dong has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Piranov instigates a clinch.
Dong jumps guard but Piranov stands there with Dong around his waist. Dong gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Piranov breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Dong feints and as Piranov raises his hands in defense, Dong changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.

Piranov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dong. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Dong is pushing down on Piranov's leg trying to pass to half guard. Piranov is fighting to maintain full guard but Dong has managed to sneak the leg through.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Piranov tries to roll over but Dong keeps him under control.
Dong passes to side control.
Piranov gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Dong working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Piranov looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Dong! Submission of the night perhaps?
