Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hawthorne tries to keep at a distance but Powell has taken the fight into the clinch.
Hawthorne is trying to break the clinch but Powell is controlling him.

Hawthorne tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Powell smiles and moves away.

Powell throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Hawthorne tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Powell is in Hawthorne's guard.

Powell got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hawthorne has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Powell has managed to get both his arms back between Hawthorne's legs - danger averted.
Powell lands a couple of elbows.

Hawthorne had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Powell defends it easily.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Powell wants to take a breather but Hawthorne is having none of it.

Powell decides to stand back up. Powell steps back and let's Hawthorne get back to his feet.

and Powell counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Powell decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Powell has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Hawthorne to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Powell is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Hawthorne pulls down on the head and he's put Powell to sleep! This one is all over!
