Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brian Lesnar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bobby Ray!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lesnar connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Lesnar changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Ray throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ray fails with a takedown attempt.
Lesnar tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Ray shoots in and drives through. Lesnar sprawls well.
Lesnar lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Ray shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Lesnar pushes Ray off and gets back to his feet.
Lesnar works over Ray's head and body with a nice combination.

Ray tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lesnar swivels and escapes.

Ray shoots for a takedown but Lesnar saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Lesnar throws a leg kick which misses Ray's front leg but catches the back leg as Ray tries to avoid it.
Ray chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Lesnar can pounce on him.

That kick from Lesnar tenderised Ray's leg. Ray is trying to keep his angry face on.
Lesnar explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.

Lesnar scores with a one two! Ray had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Ray takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Lesnar stalks Ray and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Ray's face. Ray staggers backwards, shaken.
Ray shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Lesnar as he avoids it easily.

Lesnar moves into range and clinches up with Ray.
Lesnar creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Ray's defenses.


It looks like Bobby Ray has been cut.
Ray drops down looking for an ankle pick but Lesnar pulls his leg out and moves away.
Ray is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Lesnar.
An inside leg kick lands from Lesnar.
Brian Lesnar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lesnar lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Lesnar throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Ray.

Ray takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Ray takes a kick to the side of the head.
Lesnar defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ray.
Ray fails to land the takedown.
Lesnar lands with a nice combination. Ray backs away looking to recover.
Lesnar lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Ray fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Lesnar sprawls well initially but Ray persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Lesnar has one foot on Ray's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Lesnar thuds his right hand into Ray's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Ray gets tackled into the cage by Lesnar. Lesnar maintains the clinch.
Lesnar is trying to break the clinch but Ray is controlling him.

With the fighters up against the cage, Lesnar throws an elbow but misses.

Lesnar closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Lesnar unloads a knee to the mid-section. Ray lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Ray fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Ray changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lesnar tries to avoid it but Ray manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lesnar to the ground. Lesnar escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Ray shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Lesnar manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Lesnar throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Ray escapes and throws Lesnar's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Ray stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Brian Lesnar is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Lesnar uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Ray has time to react.

Ray dives in and grabs Lesnar's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lesnar pushes down on Ray's head and hops out.

Lesnar misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Ray shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Lesnar is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Ray passes Lesnar's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Lesnar is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Ray pulls his head out easily.

Ray stands up and beckons Lesnar to join him on the feet.
Ray shoots in but no luck this time.
Lesnar connects with a high kick.

Ray feints and as Lesnar raises his hands in defense, Ray changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Ray got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lesnar has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ray has managed to get both his arms back between Lesnar's legs - danger averted.

Lesnar looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Ray is defending well. Lesnar quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Ray has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Lesnar celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
