Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dick Lane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Potter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Frank Potter is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

With a record of 5 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Frank Potter!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Colin Fotheringham and James Ackerman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lane blocks a head kick by Potter.
Potter takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Lane throws out a powerful jab.
Lane smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Lane fails to land with a series of punches.
Lane looks to land a combination. Potter sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Potter shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Lane defends it nicely.
Lane lands a jab-cross combination.
Potter tries to clinch but Lane is having none of it.
Lane slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Lane throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Potter shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lane sprawls well. Lane wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Potter gets slowly back to his feet.

Lane wants to slow Potter down by chopping away at his legs.

Potter throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lane's waist but Lane gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Potter off to one side.

Lane darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Lane stuffs the takedown attempt from Potter. Potter gets slowly back to his feet.

Lane is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Potter feints and as Lane raises his hands in defense, Potter changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Lane has his feet on Potter's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Lane fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Dick Lane is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Lane clinches up with Potter and pushes him back against the cage.

Lane tries to break the clinch but Potter is controlling the position.
Lane lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Lane lands a right hand that snaps the head of Potter backwards.

Lane is trying to force a seperation but Potter has the dominant position.

Lane comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

Lane's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Lane cracks a nice hook into Potter's ribs.

Lane is trying to push Potter away but Potter has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

That was a close round but I would say that Dick Lane will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Potter with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Lane to score with a decent uppercut.
Lane looks to land a combination. Potter sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

and Potter counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Lane has a closed guard, preventing Potter from standing up.
Lane wants to sweep here but Potter controlling him for the moment.

Lane will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Lane is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Lane pushes Potter off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Potter is looking to clinch but Lane is avoiding it.
Lane goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Dick Lane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Lane lands a jab-cross combination.
Potter takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Potter dodges the punch combination from Lane.
A nice leg kick lands there from Lane.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Lane works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
The referee is keeping an eye on Lane - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

That was a close second round but I would say that Dick Lane will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Lane moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Lane takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Potter fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Lane wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Lane wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Lane has had enough of the clinch but Potter keeps him there for the moment.

Lane presses Potter against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

Lane postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Potter is looking to stand up but Lane isn't so interested in that idea.
Lane stays in close to Potter's body and controls the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Lane advances position into side control!
Lane slows the pace down.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Lane decides to stand back up. Lane steps back and let's Potter get back to his feet.

And that's the end of the fight!
Dick Lane showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lane, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
