Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ron Franks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Don Nick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Franks kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Phil Collins - In the Air Tonight. Don Nick has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Ron Franks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Don Nick!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Paulsen Ambrosius and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nick has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Nick there as he acknowledges the shot.
The fighters circle momentarily. Franks darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Franks lands with a straight right. Nick didn't see that one coming.

Franks goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
A punch combination from Franks misses.
Nick avoids a kick to the body.
Nick tries for a takedown but Franks circles away easily
and Franks counters with a two punch combo.
Nick looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Nick tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Franks paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Nick shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Franks thows a body shot but no joy.

Nick displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Franks throws out the jab.

Nick shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Franks makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Franks.
Franks lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Nick!
Nick wants to control but Franks is having none of it.
Nick is controlling an arm, preventing Franks from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.

Franks has hold of Nick's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Nick manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
