The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knicks shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cowelll pinned against the cage. Cowelll gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Knicks misses with a takedown attempt - Cowelll sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Cowelll fails to land with a series of punches.
Cowelll looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Cowelll misses with a series of wild punches.
Cowelll throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Knicks.
Knicks takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Cowelll rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Knicks moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Cowelll feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Knickss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Cowelll tries to bum rush Knicks with a series of wild strikes but Knicks uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Cowelll throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Knicks.
Knicks changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cowelll tries to avoid it but Knicks manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cowelll to the ground. Cowelll escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Mike Cowelll has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pietr Knicks.
Cowelll throws a right and a left that Knicks avoids nicely.
Nice straight punches there by Cowelll. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Cowelll.

Cowelll scores with a one two! Knicks had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Cowelll connects with a body shot that sends Knicks's belly button to the back.

Cowelll scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Knicks takes one to the chin there.
Knicks is trying desperately to land a takedown but Cowelll is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Knicks.
Cowelll connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Knicks tumbling to the canvas! Cowelll pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Knicks was done - good stoppage!
