Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cane nogard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and adam kidd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). nogard comes into the arena with Dont Fear the Reaper - Blue Oyster Cult blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Richard Clark and Steven Brown.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
nogard defends well against a solid takedown attempt from kidd.

kidd gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
kidd wants to stand but nogard is controlling the position.
kidd trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

nogard is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Cane nogard just wasn't active enough.

kidd drops nogard with a beautiful combination! nogard stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - kidd is looking for the KO!

It looks like Cane nogard has been cut.
nogard is breathing heavily.

nogard pulls guard successfully.
kidd in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
kidd pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. nogard is keeping the position for now.
kidd slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

nogard has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

nogard gets tackled into the cage by kidd. kidd maintains the clinch.

kidd prevents nogard from breaking the clinch.
nogard tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. kidd smiles and moves away.
kidd shoots in for a takedown but nogard shows good takedown defense.

nogard closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
kidd wants to get back to full guard but nogard has mounted him!
nogard controlling the pace for now.
kidd is wriggling around trying to escape.
kidd tries to lock up and control but nogard gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

kidd is squirming around, avoiding nogard's attempts to control the action.
kidd reaches up to try and control the position but nogard seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! kidd rolls and tries to escape and now nogard has his back!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
kidd wants to control his opponent's hands but nogard gets his hands free.
nogard has the hooks in. kidd is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

nogard is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! kidd is tapping out! This one is all over!
