The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pncinv chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Pncinv throws a sloppy head kick and Gomi moves out of range easily.

Gomi closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Gomi will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Pncinv up against the cage.
Pncinv tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Gomi just stands there and leans against the cage.

Gomi has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Pncinv uses from the top position.
Gomi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pncinv on the ground.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gomi drives through and clinches with Pncinv against the cage.

Pncinv throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.

Pncinv gets caught flat footed, as Gomi shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Gomi has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Pncinv is proving hard to escape from.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gomi decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Gomi shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Pncinv eats them both and turns towards Gomi to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Gomi has closed the distance and engaged Pncinv in a clinch.
Gomi is trying to drag Pncinv to the mat but Pncinv just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Gomi breaks from the clinch.
Pncinv pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kid Gomi is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Pncinv misses with a head kick.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Gomi.

Gomi has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Gomi decides to stand up, so the ref orders Pncinv to his feet.

Gomi jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Pncinv walks away with a smile on his face. Gomi gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
