Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, George Pierre!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Logan Ortega!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Steve Smith and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pierre lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Pierre shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Ortega napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Ortega is trying to get back to his feet.

Pierre wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ortega, who protects the arm well.

Pierre thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Pierre fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Ortega tries to get back to half guard but can't.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Ortega is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Pierre has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Pierre is trying to get an arm triangle but Ortega is defending well.
Ortega looking for a sweep but Pierre has passed into full mount! Oh no!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Ortega tries to hold on but Pierre pushes him away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ortega is squirming around, avoiding Pierre's attempts to control the action.

Pierre wants to finish this one by submission but Ortega is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Pierre.
Pierre is breathing heavily.
Ortega wants to hold on but Pierre pushes him away.
