The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Munez.
Munez keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Deimos shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Munez's guard.
Munez is trying to keep Deimos in close.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Deimos working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

Munez has his foot on Deimos's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Deimos works his way back into a safe position though.
Deimos distracts Munez with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Munez is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Deimos throws a strike but Munez rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Deimos manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Munez manages to get himself to full guard.

Munez had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Deimos is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Munez Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Deimos's back instead.
Deimos can't escape the position.
Deimos rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Munez seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Deimos does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Munez is looking for a kimura here.
Deimos on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Deimos tries to get out of the position.
Deimos tries to get to full guard but Munez has control of the leg.
Munez frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Munez looking to isolate an arm here. Deimos doesn't see it coming and as Munez extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Munez!
