Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rob Salek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Liam Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Rise Against -Prayer Of The Refugee. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Liam Jones!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Andrew Berry and Sam Margolis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salek blocks a head kick by Jones.
Salek tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Jones manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Jones tries a head kick but it misses.
Jones throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Some bone on bone action there as Jones checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Salek slips under a jab from Jones.
No joy there for Jones, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Jones goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Jones thows a leg kick but Salek checks it
and Salek counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Jones is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Jones moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Jones lands with an uppercut that bounces Salek off the cage and back into rage.

The fighters circling - Jones throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Salek tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jones paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Jones rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Salek moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Jones shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Salek eats them both and turns towards Jones to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

and Salek counters with a nice uppercut.
Jones wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Salek moves out of range of the body kick.
Jones scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Salek doesn't seem bothered though.
Jones pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
A jab lands there for Salek.
Jones throws a head kick that misses.
Salek tries to close the distance and clinch but Jones swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Salek scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Jones misses with a jab, cross combination.
Salek avoids the head kick by Jones.
Jones jabs Salek to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Jones lands a nice hook to Salek's body. Salek takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Salek is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Liam Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones throws a right and a left that Salek avoids nicely.
Jones scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Salek shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Salek showed some decent athleticism there.
Jones is trying to maintain the position but Salek is very close to passing his half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jones has one foot on Salek's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

The fight stays on the outside here - Salek looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Jones throws a right and a left that both miss.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Jones feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Saleks jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Jones throws a wild body kick that Salek sees coming a mile off.

and Salek counters with a body kick that stops Jones in his tracks momentarily.

Jones lands a lovely overhand right.
Salek tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jones sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Salek somewhat.

and Salek counters with an outside leg kick.
Jones fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Salek on the side of the head.
Jones tries a head kick but it misses.
Jones tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Jones throws a push kick but Salek slaps the foot to one side.
Jones scores with a shot to the body.
Salek moves away from the strike by Jones.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Liam Jones will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Jones closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Jones is pulling down on Salek's head. It's preventing any offense from Salek, at least for the moment.

Jones has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Salek should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Jones has tightened it up now! Salek should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
