Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ben Knox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chip McAllister (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Knox comes into the arena with Cinderella Man - Eminem blaring out of the sound system. The key to victory for Ben Knox has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Chip McAllister!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Paul Tew and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knox stuffs the takedown attempt from McAllister. McAllister gets slowly back to his feet.
Knox jabs McAllister to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Knox throws a sloppy head kick and McAllister moves out of range easily.
McAllister is looking to clinch.
McAllister will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
McAllister takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Ben Knox seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Knox swings widly with a right hand
and McAllister counters with an inside leg kick.
Knox scores with a decent looking hook.
Nice defenses there by McAllister.
Nice takedown defense from Knox. No joy for McAllister on that attempt.

McAllister clinches.
Knox wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but McAllister has him pressed against the cage.
McAllister works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

McAllister tightens his grip and picks Knox up, before dumping him to the ground. Knox manages to land in guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Knox is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

McAllister looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Knox is squirming around, avoiding McAllister's attempts to control the action.

Knox tries to lock up and control but McAllister gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
McAllister connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Knox connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed McAllister momentarily.

McAllister throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

McAllister shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Knox as he jumps to the side.
McAllister walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Ben Knox is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Knox throws a shot from downtown. McAllister moves away and avoids it.
McAllister misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Knox moves into range and connects with a jab.
McAllister takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

McAllister scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Knox knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for McAllister on the ground.

McAllister moves into full mount! Knox won't be happy about that!
Knox tries to hold on but McAllister pushes him away.
Knox is looking to improve his position but McAllister isn't that keen on the idea.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

McAllister has control of Knox's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Knox regains control of the situation pretty easily.

McAllister throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
McAllister misses with a head shot.

The fighters circle momentarily. Knox darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
McAllister takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Knox fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ben Knox will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


McAllister lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
A punch combination from Knox misses.
McAllister moves in looking to clinch but Knox pushes him off.
Knox bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps McAllister's head backwards.

and McAllister counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

McAllister tries to free his leg and advance position but Knox is retaining full guard.

McAllister drops back looking for a leg! Knox is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Knox manages to kick McAllister off! McAllister jumps back into Knox's guard.

Knox keeping moving, preventing McAllister from controlling successfully.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
McAllister makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

McAllister jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Knox walks away with a smile on his face. McAllister gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

McAllister moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Knox shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. McAllister eats them both and turns towards Knox to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
McAllister wants to land a leg kick but Knox is out of range.

McAllister shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. McAllister showed some decent athleticism there.
Knox wants to control but McAllister is keeping busy and won't allow it.

And that's the end of the fight!
Chip McAllister comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think McAllister has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
