The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lorenzo shoots in and bounces Silva off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Lorenzo is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Silva has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lorenzo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Silva looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Lorenzo is stalling in the full guard.
Silva is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Lorenzo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Silva on the ground.
Silva is looking for a sweep. Lorenzo is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Lorenzo takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Silva is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Lorenzo pulls his head out easily.

Lorenzo is pressing down on Silva's thigh, looking to free his foot. Silva is holding on for now.

Silva tries to get to full guard but Lorenzo has control of the leg.
Still in half guard, Lorenzo seems content to control.
Lorenzo tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Silva.
Silva is pressing down on Lorenzo's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Lorenzo controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Miguel Lorenzo just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Lorenzo shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Silva's guard.
Lorenzo is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Lorenzo is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Silva has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Lorenzo is looking to defend but Silva has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Lorenzo! Silva pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Lorenzo taps out and this one is all over!
