The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hondo shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hondo showed some decent athleticism there.
QUICK looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
QUICK regains full guard. Nicely done.
Hondo is looking to work some ground and pound but QUICK has wrist control.
Hondo throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as QUICK works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hondo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Hondo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hondo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Hondo gets to his feet - QUICK follows without any prompting.
Hondo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? QUICK is fending him off so far but Hondo persists. Nope, QUICK circles away and we're back to standing.

Hondo closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Hondo jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as QUICK walks away with a smile on his face. Hondo gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
QUICK avoids the body shot from Hondo.
Hondo misses with a few strikes there.
Hondo throws a half hearted mid kick.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hondo.
SUPER QUICK has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kagawa Hondo.

Hondo shoots in and bounces QUICK off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Hondo is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
QUICK pulls Hondo in close to prevent any damage.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Kagawa Hondo has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Hondo cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hondo won't let QUICK get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Kagawa Hondo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!

QUICK avoids the head kick by Hondo.
Hondo shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with QUICK but QUICK pushes him off and we're back to square one.
QUICK tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Hondo feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
