Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Darth Penguinus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dirk Diggler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diggler tries to close the distance and clinch up but Penguinus swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Diggler rushes Penguinus and presses him up against the cage.
Penguinus tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
A bit of stalling here from Penguinus.
Diggler with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Diggler lands an elbow inside.

It looks like Darth Penguinus has been cut.
Diggler throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Penguinus has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Diggler regains guard immediately.

Diggler wriggles free and stands up.
Diggler tries to clinch there but Penguinus circles away.
Diggler fails in his attempt to clinch.
Diggler keeps the fight on the outside.
Penguinus is looking to clinch but Diggler is avoiding it.

Diggler throws a knee to the head but misses.

Penguinus jumps into guard, dragging Diggler to the mat.
Penguinus controls Diggler momentarily but Diggler frees himself.
Penguinus is breathing heavily.

Diggler wants to stand but Penguinus is controlling his posture from full guard.

Penguinus looking for a guillotine here but Diggler defends easily.
Diggler has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Penguinus is proving hard to escape from.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Penguinus has Diggler pulled in close to control his posture.
Penguinus could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Diggler has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Penguinus is proving hard to escape from.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Diggler avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Diggler moves into range and clinches up with Penguinus.
Diggler gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Penguinus is trying to trip Diggler. He has hold of a leg but Diggler is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Penguinus persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Diggler is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Penguinus slips nicely into half guard.
Penguinus is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Penguinus decides to return to a standing position.
Penguinus lands a nice hook to Diggler's body. Diggler takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Horrible takedown by Penguinus or perhaps it was just good defense by Diggler which made him look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Darth Penguinus. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Diggler darts in trying to clinch

and Penguinus counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Penguinus.
Diggler lands an elbow that stopped Penguinus in his tracks for a moment.
Penguinus has had enough of the clinch but Diggler keeps him there for the moment.

Penguinus content to slow the pace in the clinch.

Diggler looking to throw knees to the head but Penguinus is blocking nicely.
Diggler has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Penguinus is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Penguinus wants the takedown. Diggler is fighting it off but Penguinus persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Diggler's guard against the cage.

Diggler kicks Penguinus off and gets to his feet.
Penguinus shoots in but no luck this time.
Diggler tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Penguinus paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Penguinus counters with a takedown into side control.

Penguinus is working to tighten is grip on Diggler's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Diggler has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Penguinus is really squeezing tight and eventually Diggler passes out! Penguinus breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
