Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shane Carwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick Willis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Patrick Willis!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Carwin shoots in and gets a takedown into Willis's guard.
Carwin loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Carwin working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Willis's head.
Willis preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Carwin would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Carwin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Carwin throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Willis works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Carwin thows a big elbow that misses.
Carwin stops Willis from standing up.
Carwin working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Willis wants to sweep here but Carwin controlling him for the moment.
Carwin trying to control but Willis is working from the bottom.
Carwin looking to sit in guard and control but Willis gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Willis trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Carwin wants to stand and escape but Willis is having none of it.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Willis's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Willis avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Willis stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Carwin swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Carwin is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Willis makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Carwin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Carwin is breathing heavily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Willis is looking for a kimura but Carwin is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Willis to get the leverage.
Carwin seems to have got his legs back now.
Willis passes the guard and advances to mount!

A big strike lands for Willis! That's really hurt Carwin and he's turned his back - Willis keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Willis jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
