PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sky Scrape (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marko Torturo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scrape comes to the cage accompanied by Jark Prongo - Movin through your system. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scrape fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Scrape throws a head kick that misses.
Torturo looks to land a combination but Scrape avoids it well.
Scrape fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Scrape rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Torturo moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Torturo uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Scrape.

and Scrape counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Torturo lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Torturo stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Torturo wants it to stay on the feet.

Good leg kick by Scrape there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Torturo looks to throw the jab but Scrape is out of range.

Scrape feints and then cracks Torturo's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Torturo down.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Scrape darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Scrape wants to work for an arm triangle but Torturo is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Scrape tries to lock up and control but Torturo gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

A close round but Marko Torturo will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Torturo feints and then cracks Scrape's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Scrape down.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Scrape checks a leg kick.
Torturo walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Scrape lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Torturo pivots, looking for a leg kick but Scrape is out of range and Torturo settles back down.

Scrape throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Scrape lands with a right hand.
Torturo with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Scrape to score with a decent uppercut.
Torturo throws a hook but Scrape blocks it.

Sky Scrape seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fighters circle momentarily. Scrape darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Scrape misses with a hook. Torturo ducked under it nicely.
Torturo connects with a good right hand that stumbles Scrape. Scrape circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Scrape bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Torturo dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Scrape. That did some damage!

Torturo lands a left and a right that send Scrape crashing to the mat, dazed. Torturo thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Torturo chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Scrape can pounce on him.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Torturo throws a lazy right hand but Scrape sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Torturo enables Scrape to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Torturo manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Scrape will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Scrape bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Torturo's head backwards.
Scrape moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

The fight stays on the outside here - Torturo looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Scrape feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Torturos jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Scrape wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Torturo throws a solid leg kick but Scrape takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Torturo.
