Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Benedito Braga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aleksandr Vakhrushev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Aleksandr Vakhrushev!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Valeri Chadov and Vladimir Khabensky.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vakhrushev wants to clinch up but Braga keeps it at a distance.

Braga instigates a clinch.
Braga wants a takedown.

Vakhrushev pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Braga lands with a kick to the temple. Vakhrushev shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Braga shoots in for a takedown but Vakhrushev shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Vakhrushev tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Braga swivels and escapes.
A nice leg kick lands there from Braga.
Vakhrushev throws a push kick but Braga slaps the foot to one side.
A head kick misses from Braga.
Vakhrushev tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Vakhrushev throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Braga's waist but Braga gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Vakhrushev off to one side.
Vakhrushev on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Braga. Braga obviously looking to wear him down.
Braga looks for a takedown but Vakhrushev sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Benedito Braga. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Braga fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Vakhrushev looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Braga clinches with his opponent.

Vakhrushev is trying to stall.
Vakhrushev tries for a takedown. No joy.
Vakhrushev gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Braga.
Braga misses with a knee strike.
Braga taking a breather.
Braga is pressed up against the cage. Vakhrushev has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Braga down to the mat. Braga avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Braga throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Braga throws a head kick that Vakhrushev semi-blocks.
Vakhrushev moves in looking to clinch but Braga pushes him off.
Braga fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Vakhrushev has his takedown stuffed
and Braga counters with a body kick that stops Vakhrushev in his tracks momentarily.
Vakhrushev looks gassed!
Braga closes the distance but Vakhrushev moves to the side

and Vakhrushev counters with a nice double leg into side control. Braga won't be happy with that.

Braga can't do much from the bottom here.
Braga manages to get back to half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Vakhrushev is thwarting Braga's attempts to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Vakhrushev is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Braga has managed to free his arm - good work.
Braga makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Braga.

Braga has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Vakhrushev doesn't defend quickly enough and Braga has managed to lock this one up! Can Vakhrushev escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Braga on a fantastic submission victory.
